Robin Antar, the Brooklyn artist known for her stone sculptures of realism, was recently interviewed by the online radio show, Conversation Crossroad. Outside of the fact that Ms. Antar has created unbelievable representational sculptures and abstract sculptures, she was featured on the show because she was the first female ever to exhibit her work at POP International Galleries.
If you are not familiar with Ms. Antar’s work, she sculpts a wide array of modern sculptures that are always pleasing to the eyes and always interesting to the mind. You can frequently find an onlooker questioning if one of her contemporary sculptures is the real thing or just a sculpture. For her abstract pieces, she seems to defy logic and gravity, which leaves people scratching their heads.
In the case that you haven’t checked out her work in person, now is your chance to check it out at POP International Galleries. POP International Galleries is located at 473 West Broadway, NY, NY 10012. The hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday from 11am-6pm. If those hours don’t work for you, you can always make an appointment by calling them at 212-533-4262.
And before you go, don’t forget to listen to her interview on Conversation Crossroad. Listening to her speak will make her art an even better experience for you.
